Where required by law, we rely on your consent, our contractual obligations to you, or our legitimate interests (such as improving the Service and preventing abuse) as the legal basis for processing.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data in limited ways:
- Service providers that help us run URL.Diet (for example: hosting, database, security, logging, email delivery and analytics vendors). They are allowed to use data only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety – when required by law or to respond to lawful requests, or when we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of URL.Diet, our users or the public.
- Business transfers – if we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy or a successor policy that offers similar protections.
Aggregated or de‑identified data that cannot reasonably be linked back to an individual may be used for product analytics, benchmarking and similar purposes.
6. Data Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law. In general:
- Link, QR code and click analytics may be retained while the link remains active.
- Server logs and security-related data may be kept for a longer period to detect abuse and meet legal obligations.
- If you request deletion of your account (when available) or certain data, we will remove or anonymize that data, subject to any retention obligations we have under law.
7. Security
We use a combination of technical and organizational measures to protect data, including TLS encryption in transit, access controls, logging and running our backend on trusted cloud and edge providers.
No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to limit who can access your information and to reduce the impact of potential incidents.

- Accessing a copy of personal data we hold about you.
- Requesting correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
